A wonderful development occurred on June 25, 2008 or the day after Peace Marker Slovenia was officially unveiled.

It happens that an Olympic athlete by the name of Radovan Scubik-Hilarij was to begin his mission as a peace messenger to the Olympic Games in Beijing. Hilarij's starting point was a place called GEOSS, where send-off ceremonies where being held and presided by former Mayor of Litija Mr. Mirko Kaplja who had noticed the unveiling of Peace Marker Slovenia and made the connection.

WPMP Ambassador Dea Music wrote a peace message that was delivered to Mr. Mirko by Dea's friend Mojca and Dea's mother who happen to be friends of Hilarij. At any event, the message arrived in time for the ceremonies at GEOSS. Once Mr. Mirko read Dea's peace message he decided to include it in the official program.

Mr. Hilarij is undertaking the journey to Beijing on bicycle and he will be delivering the Slovenian National flag, the flag of the European Community and a number of peace messages to the Slovenian Olympic team.

Mr. Hilarij will travel through Hungary, Ukraine, Mongolia, the Gobi Desert and Beijing his final destination on August 8, 2008. The traveling visas had a last minute snag that was repair promptly by a Mr. Lemut who is a businessman with a personal acquaintance with the ambassador of China.

I'm sure that there is going to be a lot more about this story and about the wonderful ways in which the history of world peace is developing in Slovenia and in the way that Peace Marker Slovenia touches and interacts with the rest of the world.

The worldwide Peace Marker Project is a developing work of art that depends upon the collaborative efforts of many people in order to move forward.

Peace Marker Slovenia began in the fabrication shop of T K Machine Inc at the hands of Mr. Tim Morey and Mr. Kurt Sposito, Mr. Tony Iding welded and polished the marker in Cape Coral, Florida at the Waltzing Waters Inc. fabricating facilities.

The Marker was Picked up by a DHL currier (name) in cape Coral FL.

And delivered to Ambassador Dea by DHL currier Aljosa Jauk in Slovenia

Peace Marker Slovenia remains a collaborative effort on route to the creation of a model of world peace that the whole of humanity can behold as evidence that we can work together as a species to change the course of human development and to introduce peace as a survival strategy.
