| Selda Senkul is one of the talented and generous people
that grace the Worldwide Peace Marker Project. Selda has been the
communications lifeline behind the efforts that brought about the success
of Peace Marker Turkey and that continue to ensure that the ideas
expressed maintain their integrity after translation from English to
Turkish or other languages. The service and the friendship that Selda has allotted to the project, to WPMP Artist - Ambassador to Turkey Nurcan Turkoglu, to me and to the development of a culture of world peace is immeasurable. WPMP Envoy to Japan
![]() |
| Petra and Wolfgang Kaiser portrayed here by Brent
Scheneman are a great couple whose collaborative efforts have resulted in
a successful glass fusing enterprise, two popular books on glass fusing
authored by Petra and a promising career in fine art for Petra as a
sculptor. The couple was invited to Japan by WPMP Artist Ambassador Shigemi Ohkubo to hold a number of glass fusing workshops in Hitachi and Tokyo. Furthermore, one of Petra's sculptures will be on exhibit at a museum. The work entitled Genji's world, is an examination concerning the perception on Japanese literature in the west. |
![]() Genji's World |
| Genji's world is an exquisite work both visually and
technically, Petra literally fused the essence of the Tale of Genji which
was written just after 1.000 AD by an aristocratic lady known today as
Murasaki Shikibu. "The Tale of Genji" is an important work because it is the first novel ever written and which Murasaki wrote it in 54 separate books. The novel was very popular with the Heian Society of the time and like a good riveting contemporary novel it was filled with romance and adventure, travel and encounters with characters in super supernatural situations which Genji as the hero of the tale overcomes as heroes do. Petra's version of Genji's world is a pilgrimage to the past and a respectful acknowledgment to the culture and the history of Japan. The Torii in the work is not the visual entrance to the work but rather a gate to our perception of a culture whose contribution to the world of tomorrow may be as vital and timely as the first novel was 1,000 years ago. |

There are people whose level of humanity as beings is so attuned to the physical energies whose mystery seems to be commonplace to them. One of this extraordinary people is Dr. Nedeljko Drazic M.D., Born in Tenja, Croatia into a family with a 500 year old tradition in the natural healing arts. He studied classical Medical school and also Alternative medicine, including bio-energy, parapsychology, herbal therapy, homeopathy, crystal healing therapy. Dr. Drazic has recently become a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. A society of Physicians and scientists dedicated to enhancing the quality and extending the length of the human lifespan He is one of those 21st century pioneers, who have gained access to the duality of the scientist and the shaman, in the quest to treat the whole person; a quest that has taken him all over the world studying modern and ancient pathways to healing. This is an experience that he shares with the world as the author of several books on the subject. I had the privilege to meet him recently and was taken by his enthusiasm to embrace the WPMP journey to world peace. He has in a way become a guiding and protecting entity whose balanced energy now accompanies the development of the project, keenly aware as he is that world peace is a healing treatment that humanity has been waiting for thousands of years. |
